Carla Drew-Flanagan

Greetings! I am Carla Drew-Flanagan. I have been teaching in the Clark County School District for 19 years. During my teaching career I have taught kindergarten and first grade. My favorite grade to teach is kindergarten because kindergartners are the best! Plus, it is great to experience your 1st year of school with someone who looks like you!

I have a BS in Elementary Education from UNLV and a Masters in Literacy from GCU. I enjoy helping teachers navigate CCSD and education while feeling supported, which is why I have mentored teachers from UNLV and CSN for most of my teaching career. I also enjoy reading children’s literature and creating activities for my classes.

On a personal note, I am from Oakland, California. I was in the Air Force before I became a teacher, and I am married with 2 daughters.
