Jay Fair is a Las Vegas native and former K-12 Clark County School District student. Jay earned her Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from the College of Southern Nevada, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education K-12 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Master of Arts in Educational Policy and Leadership from the American College of Education. 

Jay taught girls physical education for 8 years prior to accepting an administrative position with the Clark County School District, where Jay currently serves as the Student Success Coordinator at Brinley Middle School. Jay also serves as Vice President on the board of directors of the Commission on Professional Standards in Education; where she sets standards for licensing educational personnel in the State of Nevada and facilitates a quality education for all students.

Jay believes that her role as a Black administrator serves as a catalyst to promote restorative justice practices, advocate the perspectives and values of ethnic minorities in education, and cultivate the collective Black strengths to build and maintain a more inclusive community. Jay is truly dedicated to advocating the perspectives and values of ethnic minorities in education through her own experiences.
